The 2nd Annual Garioch Pipe Band Championships returns to Inverurie. Experience the power of the massed pipes and drums in a massive day of competition and community.
Important Information
There will be parking available within the following car parks near Kellands Park, subject to availability: Inverurie Hospital, Inverurie community Campus, Kellands School, Former Kintore Arms & Eric Massie Funeral Directors. In addition, all Council Car Parks within Inverurie Town Centre are FREE on a Sunday.
There is also various kerbside parking within the area, but we ask you please stay clear of other residents’ driveways etc. Please do not park on double yellow lines or areas where there are no waiting cones for the event.
The car park in the corner of Kellands Park (accessed via Upperboat Road/Broadford) will be designated as Disabled Parking for the duration of the event. The Car Park adjacent to Kellands Park (accessed via Barclay Road) will be designated as parking for event vendors and organisers.
The seventeen Bands will parade in three separate groups from Kellands Park to the front of the town hall where all bands perform together on arrival followed by Championship Prizegiving. This will be presented by Judy Whyte: Provost of Aberdeenshire and Chieftain of the Garioch Pipe Band Championships 2026.
There will be a rolling road closure on George Square, High Street & Market Place during the massed Pipe Bands Parade from approximately 5.15pm to 5.30pm
